About me – Massage Therapist

Me I trained as a Remedial Massage Therapist 14 years ago having previously worked for many years as a Chartered Management Accountant – I have gone from massaging one set of figures to another!

During this period I also studied and completed an Open University degree in Health and Social Care. I am passionate about health and wellbeing, and encourage everyone to take responsibility for their own health. I aim to enable my clients to have a richer and healthier life.

I love to workout daily, swim, practice pilates and walk my dog, Rufus. getting out in the fresh country air every day is fantastic – come rain or shine.

I am professionally qualified.
Professional massage is a very skilled practice, performed through the hands of a competent and qualified therapist.

My training and qualification was carried through the Northern Institute of Massage, completing a thorough course which included study of anatomy, physiology, related pathology and the techniques of Swedish massage, heat and cold therapies, kinaesthenics and other related fields.
Having successfully completed this training and qualification, I became a member of the London & Counties Society of Physiologists (LCSP) which has strict codes of conduct to which its members must adhere.

You can therefore be totally assured that I:
1. Have successfully completed professional training to the required standard
2. Observe the highest degree of integrity and responsibility with regard to the practice of massage therapy
3. Maintain total respect for patient confidentiality
4. Practice in a professional manner

I am registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), GPs are asked to recommend patients who are seeking complementary therapies to consult with practitioners who are CNHC registered.
